Ecmnesia
Why is it that I always feel more like writing these posts after midnight? It's foolish really, by this time I can't really remember all the amusing little items and only the basic outline of the day/s. Oh well. The weekend was good. Cassie and Penny's birthday "picnic" on sunday and Grandma's 80th today. As I said, can't remember every detail so here's the general idea of my week since my last post on Wednesday.

Thursday
I arose latish due to the festivities of the night before. It was hot. I had a coldish shower (only partly intentional) and sat myself in front of the computer for the day. I played with photoshop, organised my files some more and resumed work on one of the many projects that had been lost to me for so long. I organised to go to Dom's the next day and that's about all I recall.

Friday
Reasonable start (was in the AMs), did much the same as thursday to pass the time. At some point discovered that Lachlan was having two of his "friends" over and immediately attempted to accelerate my plans to go to Dom's. Sadly this didn't work out as Dad decided to wait for Cassie to get home before I could leave/escape. Cassie eventually got home and was made to take me to Bullaburra, stopping at the bank along the way from which she returned with some interesting stories and I got her comics from the post office. Upon getting to Dom's we finished the exchange of music, movies and tv shows that we had started last time (Cassie also sent him Californication to culture him good). We played with, learnt how to use and tested his camera in preparation for Schoolies (which we wish to document as best we can). We sifted through Dom's hard drive and found some videos and photos from when Yusuke was here, watched those and had a good laugh - Dom taking himself out ice skating and Keppy's maniacal "OH YES!" as he did it, my drunken farewell speech to Yusuke in which I was repeatedly distracted by Dom filming me, Yusuke attempting to do a flip and smashing his head into the concrete and school, various people attempting (and in Dom's case succeeding) to jump over Fatman, and a Chris playing with fire. We made some dinner (ravioli and sauce), and in doing so coined the new euphemism when Dom "sauced the big spoon". Dom's mum left for work at some point and we moved onto the reason I was there - to break in his new 40" HD TV with my sexbox 360. Started with Assassin's Creed as it's the shiniest game I own (and oh my was it shiny) and then onto some Co-op Halo 3. Afterwards we watched some How I Met Your Mother and 21 whilst playing Poker on Facebook. We completely dominated one table for hours, before leaving it when it became empty and getting completely out-betted on another table by people with more money (and less lives) than us. Passed out watching How I Met Your Mother at what must have been getting close to 6AM.

Saturday
The next morning (midday) I messaged Dad asking him to pick me up when he felt like it, got no reply, 2 hours later talked to Cassie (and Dad via her) online who (jokingly) told me to catch the train. However inflections are not portrayed so well over the internet and I assumed no one was coming to get me. Trystan came, good ol' Trystan, and I got a call from Dad as we passed through Faulconbridge confirming the address he was heading to. Upon reaching my house Trystan fled, and I settled down to watch Buffy with Matt and Cassie. At some point Cassie left to take Tat to get the last of her things, and Matt and I finished Season 1. Don't recall where the rest of my evening went other than watching Black Hawk Down. Oh! I read Cassie's new comics (which were most awesome) and then slept on the lounge - I am not sleeping in my bed after W(h)illiam has slept in it.

Sunday
Sunday started great. Cassie woke up and discovered daylight savings had come into affect, making us already an hour late. There were many a phonecall made, some listing and organising of things to buy, some packing and some other stuff I'm sure. Dad left to get Uncle Barry from Bury, Matt and Lachlan went shopping and Cassie and I went to get the cake from Faulconbridge, Tat from Warrimoo and Christie and Lily from Penrith. We eventually arrived (after a fair amount of disgruntled Matt phone calls, messages from Mitchell and Stacey and a phone call from Dad who was halfway to Wollongong when Barry called him to say he was no longer coming), and merriment ensued. I shan't go into too many details, it was a fun day for all. The younglings were adorable, Penny taking a liking to me (resulting in a plethora of baby fluids on my clothes), the food good, the company grand and the conversation wide, weird and entertaining. I think my favourite topic of the day (though there were some good ones) was Trystan and I discussing a toy I discovered. It was a cow, simple enough, with different coloured feet - I noticed that the colours were in fact the same as the buttons on an Xbox controller, Trystan agreed, and we schemed to train the younglings how to play with it. We then discovered a second toy (a tiger I believe) which the same feet - but GASP! the red "button" was replaced with a purple one - to which Trystan remarked "Purple isn't a prime number". He's not wrong...
At some point it was time to go. And then, probably a couple hours later after some trampolining, strange forms of exercise, a call from Michael with interesting group participation, some games of catch with Elsey (and occasional input from Penny and Lily), we left - Lily not wanting to leave and crying because of it. On the way to Penrith we explained (song-by-song) Dr. Horrible to Christie and Lily passed out. Eventually we got back to Dad's, met up with Kai and ordered pizza. Trystan, Tat and I went to pick it up and retrieved Tarn's Sumo from Mum's along the way. Getting the Sumo into the car was... troublesome. We tried ramming it into the door - no luck. We tried ramming it in the boot - no luck. So in the end we had to put the back seats down and put it in the entire back section of the car with me having just enough room to sit across the tips of the back seats between the Sumo and the front seats. Mmm legal. We picked up the pizza, Tat running into the shop in a dressing gown and as she came out saw that the seatbelt in the back was hanging out the door. We are masters of subtly. We called Tarn and Rachael, who didn't answer, and for some reason went to the Tav (Trystan: "Tarn and Rachael could be lying in the gutter!"). They were of course not there. We got a message a little later saying they had gone home as Trystan hadn't replied - he had but Vodafones message service was down. So we went back to Dad's, struggled the get the Sumo out and put the back together again. We ate some pizza, watched some Buffy and drank a little. Tat passed out, Kai and Trystan left and Dad went to bed. Cassie shortly after went to sleep as well, leaving myself and Matt watching the soccer. Matt was awake for maybe half of it. After about an hour of the game I put clean sheets on my bed (*shudder* William...) and cleaned up some crap. Would of been about 3AM when I got Tat to move to bed (I put clean sheets on Lachlan's too) and then went to bed myself. About 20 minutes later I went out to send Matt and Cassie to bed as the game had finished anyway. I didn't get much sleep, kept waking up (with and without reasons) and William had done something to my pillow so when I woke up (every time) my neck hurt like hell.

Monday
Today we got up relatively early (relative to my midday risings), Kai picked Tat up and Dad left for Lithgow. Cassie, Matt and I followed shortly after. A strangely slow drive resulted in us meeting what was most of the attendees (we weren't last for once) at the Workman's Club. Chris gave Cassie her birthday present, and me a Dora necklace (most awesome), and we played some pool and drank a little. Had some lunch, gambled some of Chris's winnings (over $1.5k from the Hull v Tottenham soccer game the night before) played some snooker (to our own rules) and did what kind of socialising can be expected at a family member's 80th birthday. Not too much to discuss... we got ice cream. Felicity lent us Dr Who (seasons 1 and 2). Eventually we escaped (took quite some time I can tell you - I think about 20 people wished me luck in my exams, I knew who about half were) and headed back to Dad's in some less-than-pleasant traffic through Bullaburra/Lawson. On the way home I got a call from Billie to confirm some things for Friday... oh I didn't tell Dad about that yet, should call him tomorrow... anyway, that happened, we got home and I packed. Mum picked me up, had dinner and been in bed with my computer since. Downloaded the new Family Guy and American Dad, organised my videos/movies/tv shows/photos on the computer and my phone contacts a bit better (during which it decided to stop letting me edit contacts, fixing it meant clearing my phone memory and copying all the contacts back on from the SIM).

So that was my week since Wednesday. There's probably some things I wished to write about at the time that I can longer remember, but what are you gonna do? Since I got little sleep last night I was most tired all day, and yet now I am strangely awake. Hopefully once my head hits the pillow I'll just pass out, but with my track record I don't like my chances. A simple week ahead, may do some studying, Friday contains my only real plans I think. We'll see how well that works out.

ecmnesia - loss of recent memory with retention of earlier memories
Oddly appropriate given my lack of memory for the past few days.

Like Garry the No-Trash Cougar says; "Give a lobbage, throw out your garbage. Spread the word!"

Trystan: "Tarn and Rachael could be lying in the gutter!"
I believe the exact words were "Tarn and Rachael could be lying 'dead' in the gutter!"

Re: Trystan: "Tarn and Rachael could be lying in the gutter!"
But if they were already dead, what could we do?

Re: Trystan: "Tarn and Rachael could be lying in the gutter!"
That was Matt and Cassie's arguement when we arrived late. If he was dead he wouldn't need a sumo

Re: Trystan: "Tarn and Rachael could be lying in the gutter!"
True, but I do believe Trystan's argument was that they were dying and by not going to the Tav we were killing them. Hence not already dead.
The point is, that Sumo is huge... and I want one.
